DIVISIONS

Lead First Academy Football training programme is a curriculum-based training program that focuses on developing players' individual skills & quickness. Over the course of the sessions, players will work to improve dribbling for speed, first touch, shooting & passing technique as well as work on agility and dynamic movement.

This programme is perfect for any player hoping to play at the club level or make an impression with their town travel or university teams! Lead First Academy has a themed format that develops and builds skills on a week-to-week basis. Our players gain knowledge and experience towards "dribbling to attack", passing and receiving, and our very own "finishing school."

BOYS DIVISION

Football training for children can help improve their confidence. By completing a pass with their weaker foot, learning a new skill, dribbling/keeping the ball under control, or scoring their first goal, their self-esteem can receive a real boost, making them more confident individuals.

Unless a child is the next Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo or playing as part of an academy-age version of Manchester City, then he/she is going to experience losing whilst playing football. At Lead First Academy we teach our players at this stage how to deal with and overcome setbacks as an important skill, seeing as life rarely runs smoothly. It shows the players the value of learning from their mistakes.

GIRLS DIVISION

Purpose: To ensure equity for eligible women (students, staff, and departments) to participate and succeed in an academy of high international standing.

Players are recruited with gender parity as one of the foci, particularly for the STEM programs offered at Lead First Academy. Mentoring, associations, and clubs are specifically provided to support the success of the female students at Lead First Academy. Lead First Academy ensures that when appointments are to be made at senior levels of the Department, every effort is made to find qualified women and to encourage them to apply. Lead First Academy is also committed to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.
