A shared passion!...
JUNIOR HIGH
The Junior High School at Lead First Academy is a diverse and inclusive community made up of students from Grades 6 to 9 engaging in the Ghana Education Service (GES) curriculum in an International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) style.

The JHS develops internationally-minded young people through a challenging and holistic framework that enhances the GES curriculum. Our student experience is vast, with interdisciplinary classes including Sciences, Mathematics, Design, Arts Programming, and local and foreign Language Acquisition. Vocational education and service learning are incorporated into the student experience, teaching skills such as sewing, graphic designing, welding, electronics, hairdressing, and community projects. The long-term community service project encourages students to participate in a self-directed inquiry, generate new insights, demonstrate skills, attitudes, and knowledge, communicate effectively, demonstrate responsible action, appreciate the process of learning and take pride in their accomplishments.

Students also have access to our Programme of Global Engagement which provides opportunities to travel out of province to cities in international countries. These trips offer wonderful experiences to develop student perspectives and intercultural competencies and to engage in authentic learning in new contexts.
