The Junior High School at Lead First Academy is a diverse and inclusive community made up of students from Grades 6 to 9 engaging in the Ghana Education Service (GES) curriculum through our partnership with Kingdom Kids International School.

Just like the Upper Primary, the academy will develop an in-house Junior High School blending the GES curriculum with an International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program (MYP) style.

The JHS will develop internationally minded young people through a challenging and holistic framework that enhances the GES curriculum. Our student experience will be vast, with interdisciplinary classes including Sciences, Mathematics, Design, Arts Programming, and local and foreign Language Acquisition. Vocational education and service learning will be incorporated into the student experience, teaching skills such as sewing, graphic designing, welding, electronics, hairdressing, and community projects. The long-term community service project encourages students to participate in a self-directed inquiry, generate new insights, demonstrate skills, attitudes, and knowledge, communicate effectively, demonstrate responsible action, appreciate the process of learning and take pride in their accomplishments.

Students will also have access to our Program of Global Engagement which will provide opportunities to travel out of province to cities in international countries. These trips will offer wonderful experiences to develop student perspectives and intercultural competencies and to engage in authentic learning in new contexts.
